Obituary for Danny Marcyniuk

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Donald Arthur (Danny) Marcyniuk on Monday, February 12, 2024 at the age of 79 years. He leaves to mourn his beloved sweetheart of 42 years Anne Sinclair, her children Marie Dekleer (Harry) and Fenton Dunn; grandchildren Stephanie, Terence, and John; great-grandkids Hope, Kiara, Arianna and Austin. Danny was predeceased by stepdaughter Jennifer Dunn (2023), brother Milton and his close and loving surrogate-Matka Ukrainka: Polly Marcyniuk who cared for him dearly from childhood. His favorite “brother” Larry (Lila) Marcyniuk also predeceased Danny as well as Wally (Marlene) Marcyniuk. He faithfully kept in touch with Matka’s other surviving children by phone calls or visits: David, Jerry, Terry, and Maryann.
Danny was a veteran, having joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1961, and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion #1. He was born in Hodgson, Manitoba and grew up in town as well as the family farm in the Dallas, Manitoba area.
Celebration of Life for Danny will be held on February 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at E J Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald St, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC).
