Debra (Debbie) Lynn Gillanders

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Debra (Debbie) Lynn Gillanders on Sunday January 22, 2023, at the age of 59 years old.

Debbie was predeceased by her son Tyson and her sister Marvel Ann. She is survived by her brothers and sisters Robert (Wendy), Brian, Hugh (Keitha), Carol (Brian), Allen George, Carol, Karen, David; her nieces and nephews Ceara (Randy), Lacy, JJ (Mary), Brenly-Ann, Brandice, Raymond, and Jennifer; as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews Paityn, Saige, Kaiden, Kingston, Lacy J., Kasher, Eli and Ainsley. She will be sorely missed by many extended family and friends.

Debbie was born on May 22, 1963, in Neepawa, MB. She was an honest, caring and hardworking person. She worked for Pizza Pops from 1984 -2000, joined IRLC from 2002- 2004, and entered into the PACE program to become a health care aide from 2004 – 2011. She also volunteered her time with various organizations throughout the years.
In her younger years, she enjoyed travelling and camping, and had always loved going to baseball games. She loved her card game nights and her presence always livened up any gathering.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 11, 2023, at 2:00pm, at Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. Friends and family are welcome to share stories and sign the online book of condolences at ejcoutu.ca.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Debbie may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
