Obituary for David George Simard
DAVID (DAVE) GEORGE SIMARD
It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Dave Simard on Monday, July 4, 2022 at the age of 66 years.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Pat; daughters, Christinna, Murdina (Dee), grandson, Brady, and daughter, Candace; siblings, Ron (Donna), Denis (Kathy), Marcel (Jeanette), Claudette (Andre); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. He was predeceased by brother, Gerald and daughter, Irene.
Along with being a devoted husband and father and a mentor to Brady, Dave enjoyed fishing and was proud of achieving Master Angler Status. Dave was considered to be one of the big boys playing with big toys throughout his working career in construction. In his retirement years he was very active in woodworking and shared his love of his hobby with family; gifting them signs, and other treasures made of wood. He made friends wherever he went, casual acquaintances soon became close friends. Dave will be greatly missed.

Many thanks to family, friends, and staff at St. Boniface Hospital for the immense support and compassionate care shown during Dave’s nine-year battle with cancer.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Green Acres, Holy Angel Mausoleum on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
