Obituary for David Allan Burnby
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of David Allan Burnby, 72 years young, with his family by his side at Victoria Hospital on February 1, 2023.
Dave is survived by his daughter Amy (Jason) and their children Tyler (Paige), Jadyn (Will) and his son Neil (Erica) and their son Oliver. He is also survived by his sisters Valerie (Dale), Connie, Mary, Anita, Carleen (Michael) and their families as well his first wife and our mom, Bev (Rob).
He was predeceased by his parents Allan and Norma Burnby and triplet infant daughters Jennifer, Cheryl and Holly, along with his past partner and friend Mona. As well, his devoted dogs Buddy & Patches.
Dad worked at Canada Post as a letter carrier for many years and happily enjoyed his time there meeting many great people along the way. After retiring he loved the outdoors and tending to his garden. He could always be found tinkering in the garage with different projects. He was a skilled carpenter and was handy at fixing most
everything. He was also brilliant with anything to do with computers. Another passion of his we will always cherish and remember was his love of movies.
As per Dad’s wishes there will be no formal funeral, we will have a special place for him to rest and be free with nature.
The family expresses appreciation to the team at Victoria Hospital and CancerCare Manitoba who provided care and comfort to Dad in his final days. We would also like to thank Ed from Coutu Funeral Homes for his
compassion and guidance. A huge hug to all our family & friends for their love and support during this difficult time.
