Darcy found the love of his life Julie at Lakehead University where they were both studying Business. Shortly after they married in 1995 they began building their life together. Darcy was happiest when he was spending time with his kids and those that were close to him and his family. He loved camping, fishing, and when it was sauna time.

Most of his family knew Darcy as D-Rex because had a large nogginand small arms that resembled a T-Rex. Forever a kid at heart, Darcy lit up every room he entered and filled it with laughter. He was never afraid to be his silly authentic self, making everyone he met feel comfortable to be a child alongside him. Darcy could always be seen with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. His nieces and nephews loved going on their annual Shake-N-Bake camping trip, seadoing, him watching them motocross race, doing flips on the trampoline and seeing if they could outlast him in the sauna - which no one ever did.

The family would like to thank his RBC co-workers, Fire Fighters, Paramedics and Hospital Staff at St. Boniface Hospital for doing everything they could, to keep Darcy with us.

Darcy’s celebration of life will take place Thursday December 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at the Coutu Funeral Home, located at 680 Archibald street.
