(Sept 25, 1931 ? Sept 29, 2012)

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our Father, Grandfather, and Great grandfather, Daniel (Dan) Clifford Ans of Winnipeg, MB at the age of 81 years on Saturday, September 29, 2012.

Danny will be lovingly remembered by his children, Bruce (Debbie), Brenda (Terry), Susie (Brad), Greg (Darlene), Laura (Phil) his grandchildren, Allyson (Brett), Lisa, Jennifer (Greg), Rion, Sarah (Ian), Cameron (Shari), Tyler, Bayllie, Danielle, Katelyn, Brendan; and his great-grandchildren Hunter, Angnessa, Keagan, Austin, and Hailey, his brothers, Norman (Shirley) Ans of Winnipeg, Howard (Lorriane) of Red Deer Alberta, sister Edna Moncrieff of High River Alberta and Friend Eunice. He will also be greatly missed by many relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Bernice of 47 years (2002) his twin children, Kenneth and Anna-Marie, parents, Bob and Gertie by his brothers, David, Bobby and Ted.

Dad was born in Scots Hill, Whitemouth, MB where he worked on the family farm. Later he became a crane operator met the love of his life married and moved to Winnipeg to raise their family. Dad?s work took him all over the place from Jenpeg, MB where he work on the hydro dam for many years, to the Beaufort Sea, Arctic Circle, all through Ont., and even Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories . This is where he met many lifelong friends.

When life got us down we always knew we could go home and Dad would hold your hand and somehow made everything better. Dad ?s quick wit and generous nature made him a friend to all. He was always the first to lend a helping hand. Dad loved the outdoors and jumped at every opportunity to go fishing or hunting with his buddies. One of his greatest joys was when he was hunting with Ron and got a caribou. He also had his Master Angler fish hanging on the wall for all to see. When ever you need a smile just think of one of many of Dad?s original one liners and it will bring a smile to your face. They will be in our memories forever.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to come and share memories at Southglen Mobile Home Community, 38 Springwood Dr., Winnipeg, MB on Thursday, October 4 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dan to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3.

Thank you dad for caring for giving and sharing but especially for just being you.

We all love and miss you so much, sleep well

and take care of all who went before you.
