Obituary for Dale Ephriam Scott

Dale passed away suddenly at his home in Winnipeg, Manitoba on the morning of January 13, 2022.

He was born in Lion’s Head about 6 feet from the Lion’s…tail. 😀 He travelled West with friends and they settled around MacGregor. They found work with local farmers along the 350 South and started putting down roots.

Dale spent much of his career working in water and waste water, beginning with Mac’s Rentals and later with the town of Stony Mountain and then the city of Selkirk. Dale’s endeavours always involved helping others. He was involved with MacGregor Minor Baseball, he was on the MacGregor rink board and he helped establish the Renegades slow pitch team that raised money for various community efforts. Dale enrolled in photography courses that allowed him to continue helping others through capturing life events. After the passing of his daughter he focussed his energy on raising money for Cancer Care Manitoba through the creation and selling of calendars that highlighted children and their fight. He personally photographed the resilient children that were the focus of the calendars. As time went on, events lead to Dale’s interest in spirit where he continued helping others by educating and promoting alternative healing, spiritual practices and various forms of wellness.

Dale was predeceased by his mother, father, brother-in-law and daughter Melissa. Left to mourn his passing are his son Mark (Erin), grandson Greyson (Chantelle), granddaughters Kayley and Kara, brother Doug (Linda), sisters Sheila and Sue (Terry), wife Godelieve and son Liam.

In lieu of flowers to honour Dale please donate to CancerCare Manitoba, or to the Children’s Hospital.
