Obituary for Claudette Jeanette Meilleur

It is with great, great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Claudette Jeanette Meilleur at the age of 65. She was a beautiful, caring, kind, soul, with the voice of an angel. If you have been blessed with the opportunity to cross her path, you know that she was a delightful, easy-going friend, partner, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.

Claudette was born in Winnipeg on September 19, 1958. She was the eldest of her siblings. She was quite a people person. Which led her to her lengthy career in insurance. Shorty there after she decided to devote her time in becoming a foster mom/care giver to newborns and toddlers. The love, care, empathy and patience that she generously gave to those young children is something that will be remembered forever. They too will miss her terribly.

Left with her loving memory is her lifelong partner of 40 years George Blais, her daughter Karlee Blais (Adam), her five grandchildren Logan, Lillian, Sophia, Madelyn, Gabriella, her father Leo (predeceased by her mother Theresa), her stepmother Gisele, her sister Diane, and three brothers Gerry (Astrid), Rick (Lori), Don (Kellie). George’s three sisters and two brothers, Gilberte (Bill), Laurette (Ewe), Donald (Darlene), Monique, Marc (Vikki).

Cremation has taken place and there will be celebration of Claudette’s life for close friends and family.

Mom, we will miss you so much, but we know that you will be looking down on us and guiding us through life with your love and strength. Thank you for always being my confidant. Someone who I could come to with all of life’s challenges.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
