Obituary for Cecile C. Lafreniere

CECILE C. LAFRENIERE

(née Faucher)

December 28, 1939 – August 21, 2019

Sadly, on August 21, 2019 our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away surrounded by her loving family.

Cecile was predeceased by her father, Arthur, mother, Alice; brothers, Gilbert, Roger, René, and sister Simone. She leaves behind her loving children, Robert (Stephanie), Raymond (Justine), Roger (Melania), 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose-Marie (Leon) Palud, Gisèle (Andy) Mestdagh, Jocelyne (Marcel) Bonneville, Lucille (Richard) Sylvestre, brother, Roland (Kathleen) Faucher, sister-in-law, Laura Faucher,  and many nieces and nephews. There’s also her Lafrenière Family, which she always remained close to; sisters-in-law, Lorette, Lucy, Annette, Yvette, and brother-in-law, Emile.

She was a dedicated employee at Manitoba Pork, where she enjoyed working for many years. Cecile was a devoted and loving mother who made friends easily. She will be missed but know that she is now resting in peace. The family would like to thank the staff at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface (Taché Centre) for their care and compassion.

Funeral mass celebrating Cecile’s life officiated by Monseigneur Maurice Comeault  will be held on Monday, August 26 at 1:30 p.m. in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc Street, with viewing a half hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Cecile may be made to Diabetes Canada, 401-1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6.
