Brian Edwards

1950-2013


Brian Edwards passed away on Monday August 5, 2013 at the age of 63 following a long battle with cancer. Brian will be forever remembered by his wife Elsie of 37 years, son Jason (Jeanette), daughter Allyson (Cameron), grandchildren Ainesleigh and Keagan, and son Curtis (Natalie). He is survived by his brother Glenn and family as well as numerous in-laws and their families with whom he had very fond memories.


Brian was born in Brandon, Manitoba in 1950. He graduated from Neelin High School, and went on to be an X-ray Technologist. He worked at the Grace Hospital in the X-ray Department for 30 years.


Brian had a love for travel and visited many countries of the world. Brian also enjoyed watching and playing many different sports especially fishing, curling and golf. His biggest love was spending time with family and friends at the cottage near Kenora, Ontario. His latest pride was teaching his granddaughter Ainesleigh how to fish.


The family would like to extend a thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, the Palliative Care Team as well as the Edward Coutu Funeral Chapel Staff.


In keeping with Brian?s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.


In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in his name to the Inner City Youth Alive by mail to 418 Aberdeen Avenue in Winnipeg, via phone (204) 582-8779, or online at www.icya.ca.
