Obituary for Brenda Jean Button (Kaatz)
BRENDA JEAN BUTTON
(nee KAATZ)
September 24, 1963 – June 17, 2021
After a brave battle with cancer, it is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Brenda Button at Riverview Health Centre, on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the age of 57.
Brenda was predeceased by her parents Harold Kaatz and Jeanette Rondeau; her in-laws Nina and Richard Button; brother in-law Jerry Hamonic; as well as her cherished bulldog Ruby. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Richard of 34 years, and her two sons, Joshua and Jared; sister Lisa Hamonic, and many family members. Long-time friends Patti, Lisa, Josie and many more friends mourn her loss. She will be sadly missed by her extended family in Newfoundland.
Brenda enjoyed years of travel and music with her husband, kids and friends; visiting New York City, Las Vegas, and Minneapolis to see the likes of Billy Joel and Phil Collins.
In accordance with Brenda’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
The family would like thank CancerCare Manitoba, Riverview Healthcare Facility, AGI, and Pollard Banknote for their continuous support, generosity and care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brenda’s honour to CancerCare Manitoba, or Riverview Healthcare Facility.
