Arthur Donalbain Chaytor

It is with laden hearts we announce the passing of a loving husband, father and grandfather on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the age of 75 years. With support of family, his passing was peaceful at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg.

Art was born in Angusville, Manitoba on March 22, 1938 to Adam (Bud) and Olive (nee Bruce) Chaytor. He moved to Winnipeg at age 18 where he met and married the love of his life Arla (nee Strong). During their 53 years of marriage they raised their children: Debbie, Doreen (Roland), Dale (Greg) and Barry (Gail). Art was predeceased by his mother Olive and his father Adam. He leaves his wife of 53 years, his children, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, his grandchildren Katelyne, Justin, Keelin, Christopher, Ryan and Stephen, step-mother Mildred, step-sister Lillis (Herman) as well as, extended family, Trudy, Walter and family.

At Art’s request, cremation took place and graveside service for family, arranged by Coutu Funeral Home, was held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, with internment at Chapel Lawn. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Deer Lodge Centre, ALS Society of Manitoba or a charity of your choice.

Our warm appreciation goes out to 3rd floor staff at Grace Hospital, Dr. T. H. Gooi, Colleen and Tanya of Deer Lodge Centre and Diana of ALS Society of Manitoba, for their compassion and understanding at such a difficult time.
