Obituary for Annie Alma "Anne" Dowton

ANNIE ALMA DOWTON

(nee DOYLE)

January 23, 1917 – February 10, 2015

Peacefully Annie Dowton passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Dowton, parents, John and Mary Doyle, sisters, Mamie, Francis, Kathleen and Gertrude and her brother, John.

Annie was born in Winnipeg and spent most of her life in St. Vital. She was employed by Hudson’s Bay Company where she retired at the age of 65 years. She loved her years at THE BAY and always spoke fondly of the friends that she made during her many years of employment.

She married Norman in 1958 and was happiest during those wonderful years where they enjoyed their time in their home and their beloved cottage in Grand Marais, Manitoba.

Annie is survived by her neighbours, friends and family. The family would like to thank the staff at Poseidon where she was treated with care and respect.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Annie may be made to Poseidon Care Centre or to a charity of one’s choice.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Vital Cemetery.
