Al is predeceased by his loving wife Sheila DeCaigny; his beautiful granddaughter Brittany Murray and his parents, Jules and Marguerite.
Al was born December 23, 1938, in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was raised in the St. Boniface area where he started his successful career at MTS. Al was known for his love of the job and was highly successful during the 38 years which he spent with the company; he had many close colleagues as well as created multiple close friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Al’s most favorite past times was being at Big Whiteshell Lake at his parents’ fishing lodge as well as his own lakefront cottage. Al loved to go fishing on the lake whenever possible, whether it was raining, snowing or the sun was shining. Al spent the later years of his life creating new memories with Barb. They loved to travel and spend time with each other in their beautiful home and were together in a loving relationship for many years. Al passed away at Riverview hospital with his family by his side after battling a lengthy illness with cancer. He cherished the last few years of his life with his family and friends surrounding him.
