Obituary for Aline Irene Marie Carreiro (Nolin)

ALINE IRENE CARREIRO
(LAVALLEE)
(NEE NOLIN)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister and aunt, Aline Irene Carreiro, on November 9, 2022.

After a brave struggle with Alzheimer Disease, she gained her wings and is watching over us.

Predeceased by her parents, Edmond Nolin and Leonida Faucher, infant sister Marie, sisters Lilliane and Doris, brother Don and first husband Paul-Edmond Lavallee. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 35 years Simon Carreiro, son Dennis Lavallee (Dorothee Boiteau), daughter Lizette Lavallee (Don Purchase). Grandsons Paul Lavallee (Samantha Roberts), Jesse Lavallee (Kendra Huynh), Cody Purchase (Mia Milette). Great-grandchildren Jordan, Taylor, Lennon and Otis. Stepdaughters Bella Marques (Fernando), Anna Cabral (Luis), Elizabeth Parks (Ken) and their families. Siblings Florence MacLeod and Claude Nolin (Flore). Sister-in-law Rose-Marie Lamontagne as well as many relatives from her extended family.

Mom was a hard worker who did her best at everything she tried. She had a strength all her own, never really letting things get her down, but always being there for others. She was a very independent lady who instilled pride and independence in both her kids. She enjoyed life and most of all her family.

As per her request cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. Please dress casually as she would not like us to fuss.

Be sure to bring your memories and stories to share with us and as Mom would say “Only Happy Tears”.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Donor Registry, The Winnipeg Humane Society and the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.

This is not goodbye,
‘Til we meet again,
Love you mom…..
