Obituary for Alice May Watson

ALICE MAY WATSON


Alice May Watson, daughter of William Donahue and Hazel Rice and wife of

Kenneth Bell Watson, passed away suddenly in her sleep on the evening of January 7, 2014. She was in the care of Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg at the time, recovering from multiple knee surgeries.


Born in Winnipeg in 1931, Alice was a devoted wife and mother. Ken and Alice both attended Kelvin High School and met at the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church young people’s club. Throughout her adult life she maintained strong and lasting friendships through many channels, including her bridge club and women’s circles.


Alice is survived by her husband Ken, sons Stephen, Grant and Blair, and

grandchildren Taylor, Lauren, Anika, Heather, Lara and Graham.


She will be remembered for her engaging personality, the immense bond between her and Ken, and her loyalty to family and friends.


A memorial service celebrating Alice?s life will be held at Riverwood Square, 1778 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg, MB at 2:00 p.m. on January 24.
