He was predeceased by his loving wife and mother of his children, Fernanda Maria Da Silva Oliveira in May 2005 and also his infant son. His loving mother, Maria De Oliveira Menezes also went to Heaven while Alberto was still an infant. As well as, his dear parents, father, Manuel Jacinto Dos Santos passed May 8, 1999 and his wife and Alberto’s mother, Maria Ermelinda Pachero Santos passed May 15, 2005.

Alberto was born in Vila Lagoa, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal. As required he served for four years in the army in Portugal. He lived in Lisbon and Sao Jorge where he married Fernanda. He became a Master Barber and stylist, which became his career later in Canada, his new country. Alberto immigrated with his family to Winnipeg in 1966 where he continued in his profession, then owned his own business.

He had a gifted voice, singing praise to God as a lifelong Roman Catholic. He loved to sing the Fado Songs of Portugal and play them on guitar. With a song in his heart he counted himself fortunate to sing in the Manitoba Sacred Music Choir and The Mennonite Oratory Choir. He was a Member of Manitoba Opera, pursuing classical voice training and learned to play piano. He amassed a large volume of music. Alberto held his family, business clients and friends in high regard. He enjoyed meeting new people in the community, encouraging others to take voice lessons.

He was and will continue to follow his journey within, always with a love for the Christ Jesus. He became a seeker in search of one God, the Universal Christ.

The family, with gratitude wishes to thank all the staff at Deer Lodge Centre, especially Guardian Angels that posed as companions: Maria (Lupe) and Terry, Massage Therapist Tracy, Podiatrist Nurse Linda, dearest Kim and all who attended to Alberto.
