Obituary for Albert Joseph Vinet

ALBERT JOSEPH VINET


It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Albert Joseph Vinet on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 74 years of age.


Albert is survived by his sister Eunice, brothers Armand, Leo, Joe, sister in-law Roberta (Andy) and their families, his L’Arche Family (L’Arche Winnipeg) and many friends at WASO and L’Arche Tova Café.


Albert was pre-deceased by his niece Danièle Vinet-Tétrault, nephew Joey Vinet, parents Alphonse and Jeanne, brothers Andy, Gerry, Rene and sister in-law Sonya.


Albert was a loving, generous and forgiving soul. He was dearly loved by everyone who knew him. He touched many people’s lives.


Albert enjoyed working, volunteering, travelling and socializing. He represented L’Arche Winnipeg on several occasions through the media.


Family was very important to Albert. His happiest times in his life were joining his sister Eunice’s family; Chantal, Gerr, Nadia and Annie, at all their gatherings and celebrations, such as Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, birthdays, weddings, etc.


The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Concordia Hospital. His sister expresses a special “thank you” to Dr. Bzura for his compassion in supporting Albert’s family.


Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 710 Roanoke Street. Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by Eulogy at 10:30 a.m. and Mass commencing at 11:00 a.m.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Albert’s memory to L’Arche Winnipeg.
