Obituary for Albert Jean Leon Saltel

Albert J. Saltel

On October 20, Albert passed away peacefully at his home. He was born on April 25,1931 and grew up in St. Boniface.

Left to mourn his loss are: his loving wife of 64 years, Bernice; his children, Raymond, Adele (Ross), David (Celyna), and his grandchildren, Brad (Katie), Ayrinn, and Jonathan. Albert was predeceased by his infant granddaughter, Callisto.

Albert will be deeply missed and will forever live on in our hearts with the love, support and guidance he offered us over the years.

He was a strong supporter of his family. At the age of 10, he delivered pharmaceuticals by bike for a local pharmacy and delivered newspapers to help with family finances. As a young man, he went to work for Macleod's Dept. Store. He then joined the CNR in 1951, became an engineer and worked at Symington Yard, until his retirement in 1990.

He shared his passion of gazing at the star-filled sky on many evenings with us, looking through the lens of his telescope at the moon and stars. May he now take his place amongst the stars in heaven and forever shine down upon us.

Rest in Peace... Dear Husband, Father, & Grandfather. We Love You Forever.

In keeping with Albert’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
