Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

(nee De Coninck)

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Lenore McCallum on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Actionmarguerite St. Vital, at the age of 93 years.

Lenore was born July 9, 1925 in Ste. Anne, Manitoba, eventually moving to Winnipeg, where she resided most of her life. In 1948 she graduated as a Registered Nurse from the St. Boniface School of Nursing and went on to have a long career at the St. Boniface Hospital.

Lenore is survived by her loving husband, Barry as well as many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Lenore and Emile De Coninck in 1983 and 1985, and her former husband, Romeo Rivers in 1986.

The family extends sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Actionmarguerite St. Vital, where Lenore spent the last two years of her life.

In keeping with Lenore’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Lenore may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation.
