Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Christie (Chris) Thibodeau (NEE Morton).

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister and grandma on February 22, 2019 in Grace Hospice at the age of 67 years.

Chris was born in Winnipeg on Dec 1, 1951 to Kathleen & Gordon Morton. She lived a humbled and tranquil life, working for Acklands Granger for 27 years until her retirement in 2016. Chris loved to laugh, enjoyed great jokes and spending time with family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her grand kids and spoiling them when possible.  She enjoyed playing bingo, reading mystery books, watching crime shows, and loved animals. One of the dogs was always by her side or giving her kisses.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Rich), grandkids Lea & Marcus, son Paul (Nicole), brother Kevin (Susan).

A celebration of life will be held Sunday March 10, 2019 from 3pm-5pm at 41 Clayton Drive Winnipeg, MB.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Lung Association of Manitoba, 1 Wesley Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6.

so sorry to read about your mom she was a lovely person. she had a quick wit and a wonderful smile that would light up the room. i enjoyed having her as a tenant at 505 she definetly was a wonderful addition to our building. She may have been quiet but she could stand up for herself when needed. She was honest caring and fun to be around. Please know that she brought joy into a lot of peoples lives during her stay here. I will always remember her with fondness.

So sorry to hear of your moms passing. I worked with Chris for many years at Acklands.Granger. She was always very helpful and a great person to be with. The last time we spoke, it was so obvious the pleasure her grandchildren gave her.
