Peacefully and on his own terms our beloved Malcolm, husband, father, and grandpa passed away. His days of suffering are over and he is now at peace. Malcolm was a very caring and kind person who never realized the kind and fair influence he had on other people.

PETER J. SAWCHUK
May 21, 1929 – February 4, 2020
Peter was Dad to Carol, Lynne and Diana, Gigi to Mack and Ben, husband to Shirley and brother to Junie, his last surviving sibling. Pete and Shirley were married for 67 years and resided in St. Vital.
Dad was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the city’s North End. He participated in multiple sports, especially active within the football community. He was competitive in football, hockey, soccer, baseball, curling and racquetball. As a football player, coach and leader he was the recipient of numerous awards. Peter was inducted into the Football Manitoba Hall of Fame as a Builder in 2011, then in 2013 (Football Manitoba Hall of Fame) and 2015 (Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame) in the Team category as an assistant coach and player for the 1954 Canadian Intermediate Football Champions, the Winnipeg Rams.

Dan leaves to mourn his son Curtis, mother Therese, siblings Robert, Raymond, Pierre all from B.C. and sister Lise from Ontario. Several Nieces and nephews across the country. Dan was predeceased by his beloved father Richard (Dick) and brother Eddy.

On January 29, 2020 Bernhard (Ben) Hiebert aged 94 years, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Misericordia Place.
He is survived by his children, Diana (Ken) Birch, Ken (Tracy) Hiebert, Rose (Steven) Jemson, Brenda (Tom) Balzer, Ed Hiebert, his grandchildren, Tiana, Justin, Dayna, Danielle, Jordan, Tyler, Logan, Hilary, Jayne, Dylan, Alexa, Michaella, Ryker and great-grandchildren, Ben, Waylon, Hudson and Rowan.
He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Evelyn Heffernan (Pat) and Dorothy Eirikson. Ben was predeceased by his wife, Beryl of 46 years, parents, John LF and Elizabeth Hiebert, first grandchild, Joshua, sisters, Susan, Helen, Mary, Kay, Betty, and brother, John.
Louise Devigne (née Gagné)
June 16, 1931 – January 29, 2020
In the early hours of January 29, 2020, our loving mother Louise peacefully passed away in her sleep. Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and is once again reunited with her loving husband Jerry, daughter Lise, and daughter-in-law Ginette.
